O Day Of Peace That Dimly Shines

from Every Hour by Claire Holley

about

The soundtrack to Chariots of Fire got a lot of airtime in our household when I was growing up. I loved hearing Vangelis in all of his synthesized glory interpret that footage of the white legged Brits on the shore of an otherwise deserted beach. The closing song of the film, "Jerusalem," with words by William Blake and music by Hubert Parry, became one of England's treasured anthems. What a wonderful discovery to find Carl Daw's lyrics for a melody I loved so much.
